Relief

How hollow is the swell we take ownership of
Not knowing that at any moment it could be lost
Blown away by the breath of the universe
Crushed by its melancholy
Moonlight keep shadows but darkness owns no light
Nor does man own wine
These drapes belong to the earth
And so shall they return
Treat me now until the sun
I'll find my way back
Beyond the layers of provision lost
Beyond the leaders that fail their flock
Beyond the bodies that once held space
now rest in new home
For bridges not know who shall cross them
Just that one might
In order to get to the other side
So we create
Chancing down enchanted rainbows
Crashing streams against dry land
For praise be our cornerstone
Piercing metal anchors
Flight is near
Dawn has risen
Wisdom is bound
Relief is but a stretch away for arms that crave new life
